- Open Terminal. Type
python3followed by a space, drag the extractedinstall.pyinto the Terminal window, then press Return. No administrator access or token entry is needed. - Restart Codex. Open Plugins, choose the Personal source, and install HL Terminal Analysis. Start a new local chat.
- Keep HL Terminal open on the same Mac and ask: “Use HL Terminal Analysis to analyze my active chart.”
- Review the local access request in HL Terminal and choose Allow. The client credential is stored in the macOS login keychain.
The installer adds this plugin to your personal plugin catalog and generates paths for your Mac. Other plugins are preserved; a previous entry with the same name is replaced. Existing catalog settings are backed up. The ZIP includes source code and a README.
Start a conversation with your terminal
- “Review my Trading Contexts against fresh chart evidence.”
- “Analyze ETH on the 4h timeframe, including FVGs, order blocks and liquidity.”
- “Scan my favorites and explain the strongest current scenarios.”
- “Prepare a setup with trigger conditions and send it to my review inbox.”
Your review. Your decision.
The bridge reads analysis data, submits advisory setups and can stop an existing setup monitor. It cannot place, change or cancel orders. Imported monitoring plans remain inactive until you activate them in HL Terminal. Continuous monitoring requires a running, synced Mac in Server Mode.
Codex receives the chart, watchlist, context and setup data returned by tools. Your AI provider processes those data under its own terms. Wallet private keys are not exposed through the tools, and no credentials are bundled in this download. Analyses are planning aids and do not guarantee trading outcomes.
Revoke access under HL Terminal → Server Mode → Paired AI clients. To remove the plugin, uninstall it in Codex and revoke its paired client. Further removal and update instructions are included in the README.
Available on macOS
The MCP bridge connects locally to 127.0.0.1:48763 on the same Mac. The iPhone, iPad and web terminal do not host this interface. This download is a local Codex plugin; it is not a hosted ChatGPT connector. In-app AI Chat is a separate feature.
If a connection fails, open the native macOS app rather than the browser terminal. If tools request an app update, update through TestFlight. If the plugin is missing, check the Personal source after restarting Codex and start a new local chat.
